서울 인사동 마루아트센터 특별관이 7월 29일, 패션과 예술이 교차하는 생명의 무대로 변모했다. 제2회 애니멀 아트 페스티벌은 단순한 전시가 아닌, 런웨이와 퍼포먼스가 하나의 예술적 의식으로 이어지는 독창적 축제였다.

천연염색, 럭셔리의 새로운 언어
개막식의 하이라이트는 천연염색 패션쇼. 한국패션예술인협회 안시현 회장의 총 연출 아래, 모델들은 자연의 색을 입고 런웨이를 걸었다.

대한민국 천연염색의 거장 정재만 교수(한국뉴욕주립대학교)가 협찬한 의상은 자연의 빛과 질감을 그대로 담아내며, 지속가능성과 럭셔리의 조화를 보여주었다.

삼육대학교 시니어모델, W팀 모델, 작가와 어린이들이 함께 무대에 올라 세대와 종을 초월한 공존의 아름다움을 표현했다. 바람에 흩날리는 천연염색 스카프는 단순한 패션 아이템을 넘어, 예술적 선언의 상징으로 자리했다.

예술과 패션의 의식
예술총감독 키메라 영은 “예술은 생명을 기억하는 의식이며, 공존을 배우는 경험”이라며, 이번 페스티벌을 ‘모든 생명이 하나의 우주로 이어지는 선언’으로 정의했다.

그의 철학은 다섯 가지 의식 — 기억의 의식, 연결의 의식, 기쁨의 의식, 나눔의 의식, 지속의 의식 — 속에 녹아들어, 패션과 예술이 삶으로 이어지는 여정을 완성했다.

Beyond Species, Beyond Boundaries
이번 페스티벌은 순수스마트워터, 아트코리아방송, 소식통TV가 후원하고, 약초보감, 아트그룹 옴니보어가 협찬했다. 총 134명의 작가가 참여해 인간·동물·자연의 경계를 넘어선 예술적 세계를 선보였다.

2026 애니멀 아트 페스티벌은 패션과 예술이 하나로 융합된 생명의 오마주로, 인사동의 여름을 가장 뜨겁게 물들였다.

Memory · Connection · Joy · Sharing · Sustainability — Five Rituals Completing a Fashion Performance
On July 29, the Maru Art Center Special Hall in Insadong, Seoul transformed into a stage of life where fashion and art intersect. The 2nd Animal Art Festival was not a simple exhibition, but a unique celebration where runway and performance merged into one artistic ritual.
Natural Dyeing, A New Language of Luxury
The highlight of the opening ceremony was the natural dye fashion show. Under the direction of Ahn Si-hyun, President of the Korea Fashion Artists Association, models walked the runway dressed in the colors of nature.
Professor Jeong Jae-man, a master of natural dyeing from SUNY Korea, sponsored garments that captured the light and texture of nature, showcasing the harmony of sustainability and luxury.
Senior models from Sahmyook University, W Team models, artists, and children shared the stage, expressing the beauty of coexistence across generations and species. Flowing natural-dyed scarves became more than fashion items — they stood as symbols of artistic declaration.
The Ritual of Art and Fashion
Artistic director Chimera Young defined the festival as “an artistic ritual that remembers life and an experience of learning coexistence,” describing it as a declaration that “all life is connected as one universe.”
His philosophy was embodied in five rituals — the Ritual of Memory, the Ritual of Connection, the Ritual of Joy, the Ritual of Sharing, and the Ritual of Sustainability — completing a journey where fashion and art extend into life itself.
Beyond Species, Beyond Boundaries
Sponsored by Pure Smart Water, Art Korea Broadcasting, and Sosiktong TV, with support from Herb Treasure and Art Group Omnivore, the festival featured 134 participating artists. Together, they presented an artistic world transcending the boundaries of humans, animals, and nature.
“Beyond Species, Beyond Boundaries” — the 2026 Animal Art Festival became a homage to life, fusing fashion and art, and coloring Insadong’s summer with its most vibrant hues.
